The Blues can only be truly appreciated by those who have travelled a
difficult and coarse road for most of their days on this Earth.
Many blues musicians throughout the last seven decades have spoken through their lyrics
and music about the troubles they have endured.
Be it relationships with others, a shortage of income necessary to simply survive,
the difficulties of adhering to a more stringent legal authority which grows more menacing by the year
or the addictions many ultimately fall into simply trying to cope with the tremendous pain they endure.
Even through the worst of times, blues musicians continued to strive to produce a musical heritage
for the masses indicating that there is hope, that there is a glimmer of light at the end of all this,
that we can simply dance all the blues away in a single night even while listening to an artist’s sad tales of woe from the stage.

The message was that important…
Most of the great blues artists have been called home and only the meager recordings
made decades before remain to tell their story. While recordings are a testament to the musician,
they seldom reflect the vitality of a live performance. Venom Blues has aimed to continue carrying this message
of hope to the world for these last twenty years through live performances in Delaware and
throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Venom Blues has six music volumes in circulation and continues
to perform mostly original works and some remakes of many of the blues greats such as Muddy Waters,
Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, the Chambers Brothers and other blues legends.
Venom Blues presents a level of live entertainment seldom seen in the last few decades.
While “The Blues”, as an art form, has lost its prominence over the years in favor
of other musical genres, it takes a seriously dedicated set of musicians to turn the simple “twelve bar blues”
into a sound extravaganza. Venom Blues has assembled an unbelievable set of high caliber musicians who,
at their live shows, unleashes seriously rocking sets of music that encourages their audience to dance
away the blues all night long. Venom Blues is as “live” as it gets! We don’t play the blues, we release it!
